Thank you Mr.M.K.Dhar. Your article is one of the most comprehensive (considering the limited available print space) on this vexatious issue. Bash on regardless, Sir.
Indeed, I do believe that despite being ‘partitioned’ on religious grounds in 1947, the emergent leadership of that time diligently continued (practically) to divide people in three broad but crucial aspects:
Religion: Creating ‘minorities’ and ‘majorities’. Social & Religious distinctions are just that – Social & Religious distinctions, period. The State views all equally. State policy cannot be decided on the likes and dislikes of ‘minorities’ & ‘majorities’.
Education: Minority instituitions & Majority instituitions, Minority curriculum & Majority curriculum etc etc
Linguistic Division: (creating states based on Linguistic denomination – what a harebrained idea, but ideal to keep the people divided and the ‘wheelspinners’ in their chairs!!). Ideologically I am a Kemalist and therefore completely unimpressed by the ‘gandhian’ philosophy such as it is. For me, my Vatan-e-Hind shall always be ‘Sarvapratham’ & ‘Sarvashresht’.

Oh come on Mr. dhar. You are taking something like what Antulay said too seriously. He, like many other politicians in India, have to give soundbites to show that they are relevant and this is his “pet issue”. Look at how Congress answered his question in Parliament and left it at that. I think that’s the wisest thing to do. Instead you are heightening the importance of and giving space to some mental idiot who paints graffiti in Af-Pak border. #82 and #89 even if you are Indians (which itself is questionable) what makes you think you speak for all Indian Muslims. #82, Dhar is not spreading hate against Islam; his writing is historical and you gotta be kidding me about Hindus “oppressing” Muslims? Tell me do Muslims get Haj subsidy in any other country (as they do in “Hindu majority” India)? #82, if you want communal representation go to Pak; secular countries don’t do that.

Do you want a fascist state where nobody is even allowed to ask questions. If a politician makes foolish insinuations, he will suffer elecotorally. It’s strange that rabid communalists like Togadia can abuse an entire community and you remain unperturbed but if someone asks for ‘inquiry’, you get angry.

If everybody starts believing things this way, the modules of Abhinav Bharat could never have been busted. What about the modules of Nagraj who were repsonsible for blasts in Hubli or the ones responsible for series of bomb blasts in Assam within three months. Will you also write on that also.

A growing section of the general populace of this great republic is being stifled, stymied and suffocated by a pervert secular discourse which encourages the airing of illusionary grievances of mohammedans. When a ruqaiya begum, with accompanying bellicosity, harps on a demand for another ‘homeland’ due to “hatred against islam and oppression of mohammedans by the Hindu majority”, she betrays her lack of faith in the idea of India. She must realize or be made to realize that India is and will remain the land of the free and the crescent has a discourse limited to the private sphere of personal faith. She and her ilk must either change their mindset or dislocate to the desert landscape where her illusionary salvation rests. All such fifth columns would be ruthlessly crushed. She ought to be grateful that the people of this great Land have tolerated her barely-disguised treason thus far- and only thus far and no further. Tolerance has its limits. Seek knowledge and light not darkness and doom.

Dear Dhar,

I appreciate your analysis and depth of knowledge. For the first time I hear that Somnath was broken as it contained part of the Kabba stone. That means Hinduism was present in Arabia in some form or other. If the scholars are correct the Muslims are also idol worshippers-they worship a piece og meteorite as a symbol of their Allah. So what is all that charade about Islam being anti-idol worship?

It will be too early to say this… But is Obama playing IMC in USA by shutting down Guantanamo Bay.
No doubt it is a facility which is against law but is this a step towards appeasing the Radical Islamic countries?

Wht. will be his next step. On an interview to Zee news a noted strategic analyst said that he will minimise operations in Afghanistan and may make peace with Taliban. Then Taliban will comeback again in a new form and cover over all Afghansitan and Pakistan which will be a headache for India.
