I am concerned about the media and its reporting of these issues among other things. I am upset and shocked by the Pragya Sing case and look forward to your views on it (so far no major analysis has been presented by intelligence analysts). But it seems to be getting a disproportionate amount of reporting in the media as compared to other “major” jihadi activities of the past. The media’s treatment seems nothing short of a psych war tactic for these jihadi org’s and seem to add to the perceived sense of grievances of the muslim community in India. I have been living in the US for 3 years and I was shocked to see the state of irresponsible reporting by the media and its “increased” impact on the common man in my recent visits. (I had kind of expected this). It is shocking to see how little people are aware of these terror developments and how unwilling people in India will organize (intellectually and in action) in a structured and peaceful way to deal with these issues. I feel I want to do something for the cause of making more people aware of this grave danger which threatens to divide India. I see that how little all the “emerging” business and its leaders are aware of this risk. I feel if we have aware citizens we can take a collective action. It may be a starting point to correct the imbalances in our society and eventually fight this menace with reason and peaceful actions.
